Florence Amate is the President and CEO of the Laisar Management Group.

Ms. Amate is a strong collaborative leader with an effective combination of strategic vision, practical business knowledge, technical expertise and the ability to execute.  She has over 25 years of experience delivering innovative and business enhancing management consulting and technology solutions to government agencies, non-profit organizations and private companies.  Clients have recognized her collaborative teaming style that differentiates her from others in her industry.

Ms. Amate uses an inclusionary approach to her work, ensuring all staff, board, and other stakeholders are involved as much as possible in the process in order to secure buy-in and accountability.

Prior to starting Laisar, Ms. Amate held senior level positions with Pitney Bowes, Danka Services International, and Lexis-Nexis.  Her focus within these organizations was operational excellence and her areas of responsibility included business management, client relations, pricing, marketing, and human resources.

She was recognized at Pitney Bowes for several years as an operations leader who could increase company profitability and at the same time reduce client spend and increase efficiency.

Ms. Amate has also facilitated several workshops for small business owners on effective operational management strategies and provides business coaching services to start-up companies.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on international business and marketing from the American University in Washington, D.C. She holds professional certifications in quality management, public relations and project management. She is trained in Six Sigma.
